LabPrints Introduces Free Plug-In for Adobe Lightroom
Cohoes, NY, February 27, 2009- LabPrints announced today that the company has released a free plug-in for Adobe Lightroom, a program designed to organize and manage large numbers of images, process raw files, handle conversion to other file formats, and in general, streamline the photographer's initial workflow steps. LabPrints, in turn, provides a versatile and efficient workflow solution for all subsequent stages, such as album design, projection sales, posting to online storefronts, and perhaps most importantly, linking the photographer with the professional lab of choice for online ordering.
The plug-in allows photographers to export directly from Lightroom into LP Digital Studio, automating project creation. This means that on the export from Lightroom, when, for example, raw images are saved as jpegs and moved into a new folder, the software is also importing the images into LabPrints, and creating a new project. The plug-in can also launch LP Digital Studio automatically upon completion of the import.
LabPrints CEO Bob Kolbe said, "The goal of LabPrints is to simplify the photographer's workflow, by providing a comprehensive and easy-to-learn suite of products and services. This plug-in is another way we are achieving that goal, and assists our client photographers by saving time with their transition from Lightroom into LP Digital Studio. The power of this amazing product from Adobe has resulted in a very high adoption rate among today's pros".
Once imported into LabPrints, photographers can then post their images online, design albums, and send orders directly to their lab-all within minutes.
How to get the plug-in: The Lightroom plug-in for LabPrints will be included at no charge, in current upgrades. Existing LabPrints users will get an automatic update upon opening the program; new users can download LP Digital Studio for free here.
Information on how to install and use the Plug-in can be found here.
